City of London Engineering Hall of Fame – 2024 Inductees
Thursday 31 October 2024, from 6.45 – 8.45 pm, Tower Bridge High Walkway, SE1 2UP
In the presence of the Right Hon the Lord Mayor, the 2024 inductees to the City of London Engineering Hall of Fame will be announced in the iconic surroundings of one of London’s greatest engineering marvels. Canapes and drinks will be served.
Running order:
6.45pm: Guests admitted at Tower Bridge Visitor Experience entrance (west side of North Tower)
7.15pm: Formal proceedings begin with:
The Right Hon the Lord Mayor, Alderman and Professor Michael Mainelli, Honorary Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Engineers, introduced by Prof Gordon Masterton, Founder of the City of London Engineering Hall of Fame.
The Masters, Prime Warden or representatives of the seven founding Companies of the City of London Engineering Hall of Fame announce their nominees.
2024 inductees will be invited to say a few words.
Sue Threader, one of the City of London Bridgemasters, on the City Bridge Foundation and the role of the Bridgemaster.
Chris Earlie, Director of Tower Bridge, on current initiatives to reduce Tower Bridge’s carbon footprint and its support of STEAM activities.
Vote of Thanks from Prof Gordon Masterton, Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Engineers.
