AWE, in partnership with the Worshipful Company of Engineers, is delighted to announce that nominations are open for the Defence Industry Early Careers Engineering Prize 2026.

This award celebrates the brightest emerging talent in defence engineering — recognising early-career engineers who are driving innovation, solving complex challenges, and inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders.

Judging Criteria: Nominations should show how the work:

• Contributes to enhancing the safety or performance of frontline members of the armed forces, or delivers a measurable financial saving to the Ministry of Defence (MOD)
• Benefits the wider engineering community and/or defence industry

With £1,200 in prize money and the prestige of industry recognition, this is your chance to spotlight emerging talent making a real impact.
